This program accommodates the needs of organizations that want to offer individual outplacement to junior-level employees. Candidates work with a coach and have access to our online technology.

CPI/New Options Group experienced coaches help candidates understand the most important aspects of a successful job search and ensure that candidates develop high-impact resumes.  Working in tandem with our cutting-edge technology, our Next Step Program helps individuals secure the best new career position in the shortest possible time.

Our multi-pronged approach includes:

24/7 Online Technology Training and Tools: While technology can never replace human interaction, we support our face-to-face and one-on-one coaching with the industry’s best technology.  Candidates receive training and access to our Internet-hosted Career Transition Portal and regularly scheduled webinars on job search topics.  Our technology also includes an online job search process, personal assessment tools, links to job boards, resume bank, recruiter databases, and a proprietary database with more than two million company profiles.

Orientation: In an initial session we discuss candidates’ reactions to their unique situations and begin reviewing the fundamentals of the job-search process. We introduce values, skills and interests assessment tools as a basis for career decision-making, using our proprietary training manual and Online Career Portal.

Developing Job Search Skills and Tools: We teach individuals the techniques associated with locating and answering published advertisements, using recruiters and agencies, developing networking skills and improving telephone techniques.

Resume, References and Communication Tools: Our services include professional resume development; coaching on how to select, manage and communicate with references; and training on e-mail and cover letter writing skills.

Interviewing: Our coaches teach candidates job interviewing skills, then rehearse and evaluate performances with attention on personal presentation, role playing, handling objections, follow-up, closure and negotiating offers.
